Folsom Trails Update

October 21, 2019 

The City of Folsom was recently awarded grant funding from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) to develop a new Active Transportation Plan (ATP). Folsom’s Parks & Recreation and Public Works departments will work together on the city’s ATP that will guide the planning, development, and maintenance of existing and future pedestrian and bicycle networks.

Diwali Fireworks Safety

The Indian festival of Diwali or Deepavali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is traditionally celebrated with the use of California State Fire Marshal registered Safe and Sane fireworks. The use of approved fireworks in conjunction with this festival may occur between noon on Saturday, October 26 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 in the City of Folsom.

Folsom Parks & Recreation invites all residents to join in this month’s celebration of the arts. The fall Rec Guide includes a wide variety of fine arts, dance, and theater classes. Most of these programs take place at the Folsom Art Center, located at 48 Natoma Street.
