Own a piece of history The City of Folsom is celebrating the connection between Johnny Cash and Folsom Prison with a unique limited-edition license plate made in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Cash's live performance at the prison. The JCASH 50 California license plate is a legacy plate, featuring the classic black background with yellow lettering, and made inside Folsom Prison's license plate manufacturing facility. The license plate is framed along with a picture of Johnny Cash standing in front of Folsom Prison's East Gate, photographed by Dan Poush on January 13, 1968 - the day of Cash's performance. Get your limited-edition JCASH collectible before they're gone!

Show your support with commemorative items

Show your support for the trail and ride in style with a limited-edition cycling jersey, shorts, or a complete kit. Run the trail - or run your errands - in a long-sleeve Johnny Cash Trail dry-fit shirt. Johnny Cash Trail reusable tote bags, mouse pads, and marble coasters are also available for purchase. Proceeds from all items will help fund "Cash's Pick," the public art installations that will mark both ends of the trail. Visit the Folsom Senior and Art Center at 48 Natoma Street in Folsom to buy commemorative items; hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Make a monetary donation

Your cash donation goes directly to fund the public works of art for the Johnny Cash Trail. The first art installations will be "Cash's Pick," created by artist Adan Romo. These impressive works are 7-foot-tall bronze replicas of Johnny Cash's guitar picks, emblazoned with Cash's signature. The picks will be installed at both ends of the 2.5-mile trail. Your cash gift will go to the Folsom Arts Association, a non-profit organization bringing the art to the Johnny Cash Trail. Make your donation today!
